In year 6 we have SATS and sometimes we go on school trips, over the weekend, they’re really cool and everyone enjoys them (the trips are good, not the SATS.)

Hello we are Kirsten & Carla we go to Bar Hill Primary School. We are now going to tell you about what we do at Bar Hill Primary School.

LITERACY

Literacy is ok but its not the best subject in the world. In Literacy we do spellings, handwriting, we look in textbooks for work to do. We have an hour of Literacy each day.

Maths

Maths is our best subject. (We love it) In Maths we do our times tables

And work from textbooks. We have an hour of Maths a day.

Art

Art is another one of our favourite subjects. We have an hour or so of art a day. In art  we  do some painting, make things, in art we always do something.

 `History

In History we look in topic books for ideas for our topic work. History is one of our worst subjects.

Science

Science is boring and factual we absolutely hate it.

Now you know what Bar Hill Primary school is about.

Diary of Kingswood

We stayed in the Washington house; we had our breakfast in Hollywood Diner.

When we got there we had lunch in a cinema and then walked to the beach that was fun we looked around the rock pools.

The activities were canoe capsize, climbing, aero ball, go-carts, laser tag, problem solving, ICT.

The lights went off at 10:00 PM and we had breakfast at 8:30, lunch at 12:15, tea at 5:25.On the second night we had a choice of watching a film or going to a disco.

All the instructors are quite young and are very friendly. Then we went to bed really tired. The next day we got up early to have our breakfast, then we got all our sheets off our beds. Next we packed our suitcases and done our last activities.

Afterwards we had our lunch at the Hollywood dinner, but waiting in the hall was a surprise birthday cake for the birthday boy, Matthew.  We sang happy birthday to him and had a piece of cake.

We waited a long time for the bus but it was worth it because everyone  was happy about seeing their Families again.

FUNNY STUFF!

Interviewing Mr Lay
(the Computer Club supervisor)

I think kids should rule the world especially Nikki + Sophie!
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha
OH SORRY, SOMEONE JUST TOLD A JOKE!

Also I would like to admit my real name is bob the builder. And I killed Winnie the Pooh because he ate my honey so I ate him all up (he was yummy)

NIKKI: What do you call someone with no brain?
SOPHIE: Whatever you like he’ll think it’s a compliment.

NIKKI: HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA that’s not funny.

SOPHIE: What do you call a deer with no eyes?
NIKKI: No idea

SOPHIE: What do you call a deer with no eyes and no legs?
NIKKI: Still no idea

NIKKI: Some packets of crisps were walking down the street then another packet of crisps came in a car and said “ hey mate do you want a lift?”
SOPHIE: And the other packets said “no thanks we’re WALKERS

Do you like ice cream?

Red Nose Day

On March 16th Bar Hill Schools year 6s arranged to do some stalls at break. Which was a good success and we raised a lot of money. Here are the names of the stalls we did:

Go Eggy
Lollipop Game
Cake Stall
Refreshments
Penalty Shootout
Origami
Nails and Face painting
Splat the boys
How many sweets in the jar
Tombola
Wild Racer
Beanie Fair
Face Paints

That day was non-uniform day and everyone who wore non-uniform and brought 50p. In total adding the stalls and the non-uniform money we raised £435.00.

Well Done to all the people who put time and effort in to organising the stalls.

Danni and Gemma’s sponsored silence

Gemma and Danni are organizing a sponsored silence because:

  1. They want to prove to their friends that they can make it

  2. They would like to raise money for the NSPCC.

They will be doing this for an amazing 7 hours (no talking it will be quite hard for Danni and Gemma) it will be on the 2nd of April 2001 from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm.

All our friends don’t think they will make it.
Here’s one of their friends Nic H to say what she thinks about it:
"Hi I’m Nic, I’m Dan’s friend. I think they won’t make it because they can never shut up".

Here’s Ross to say what he thinks: "I think Danni will make it because she doesn't talk a lot but Gemma will not because she talks a lot but then again their both are as bad as each other".

So that s what our friends think!

Gemma and Danni have only been collecting sponsors for 2 day s and all ready raised over £30 They are really hoping to make it .

4th April 01

Gemma and Dan both didn’t make it because they both have big 'gobs'!
Which means they just they can ‘t shut up
Danni lasted less than 5 minutes, isn’t she clever?
Gemma lasted for the morning but then gave up!
