While delivering first class learning opportunities in lessons as shown by our excellent academic results, Bar Hill School also has an impressive wider curriculum.
Aiming to create outstanding leaders in Cambridgeshire, Britain and across the globe, we offer tremendous leadership opportunities in our clubs while also teaching the children the skills needed to create team work, including valuing the views and contributions of others towards common goals.
In line with our assumption that our children can be powerful leaders, at Bar Hill we give the main responsibility of club leadership and management to the children in Years 5 and 6 – these clubs are usually free of charge and cover lots of exciting topics. We also have a range of clubs offered by outside organizations and teachers for which there are reasonable charges. Any family with children who accept free school meals or have at some time in the past received free school meals may contact the Headteacher to discuss support for the paid clubs.
