Support Staff

At Bar Hill Primary School we are fortunate to have strength in depth. Our Administration Team and Support Staff are valued members of our team and work hard to ensure our children receive the best possible education and care.

Administration

	Emily Lewney (Secretary) I have lived in Bar Hill since 1988 and have been the school secretary since 1998. I love the job (most days!) and the interaction between staff, pupils and community.

	Jayne Bacon (Financial Secretary) I’ve worked at the school now for several years. I love my job and the school is a really warm and friendly place to work.

	Jenny Dedman (Admin Assistant) I am married with three children. My children all attended Bar Hill school before going on to Swavesey Village College. I worked at one of the local playgroups for five years before starting work as a teacher support in September 2000. I am also Clerk to the Governing Body.

Since starting work at Bar Hill School in 2009, I have enjoyed building, painting and changing parts of the school, all to benefit the children. Lately I have built a covered area so that EYFS children can play outside – whatever the weather! I always have a project on the go! I love riding my motorbikes and going away in our motor home.

Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTA’s)


	Anna Flack Having qualified as a teacher in 1996, I have enjoyed working with children throughout the school. I am married with one son Joshua. I also have two mad cats. My hobbies include gardening, baking and going to the theatre.

	Donna Hodgson I have a daughter, Carla and a son, Gavin at Swavesey. I have lived in Bar Hill for 16 years.

	Jo Jordan I have been working at school for over five years now. The time has passed very quickly and I have enjoyed every moment. My main area of expertise is in literacy.

	Mags Darby

	Maureen Hay I am married with 2 children, a boy of 21 and a girl of 17. I have worked in school since 1995.

	Trish Panting I have lived in Bar Hill for 20 years and have two children, Nicola and Matthew. I have been at Bar Hill school for over 10 years and have also worked at Swavesey Village College. Since starting work at Bar Hill school I have worked with every year group. I have been on various courses and have gained my City and Guilds in Learning Support.

	Karen Churchley I have worked at Bar Hill school for nearly four years now, helping a statemented child, which i enjoy a lot.

	Julie Lemon I have worked at the school for over 12 years, prior to that I was a food technologist at a research and development centre. I also run the social skills and speech and language groups which I enjoy. I am a qualified cricket coach and have coached the school cricket team successfully for five years. My other interests are badminton, music and socialising!

	Clare Lewin I started working at the school in September 2003 and I currently work in year 3/4 helping children with literacy. As a parent with 2 children who attend the school, what I love to see is how the children here mix so well with other year groups.

	Janis Thomas I enjoy working as a teaching assistant. I am married with two sons, and live locally. I spend spare time as an assistant cub scout leader.

	Louise Honey I have been working at the Bar Hill Primary School for over 5 years. I really enjoy the challenge, and all the satisfaction that goes with working with many different children, with different needs, they always put a smile on my face! I am married with 2 wonderful children, who make my life even more hectic, but enjoyable.

	Wendy Gilbert I have been an LSA for over 15 years. Before that I was a parent helper at school for 4 years and helped to run a playgroup for 2 years prior to that. I am married with three grown up children and before having my family I was a State Registered Nurse.

	Claire Ford I have lived in Bar Hill since 1975. I have three grown up children who all attended Bar Hill school, two full time and one part time. I have had links with the school as a volunteer since 1984 and joined the support staff in 1999.

	Maggie Dennington I am married to a primary school head teacher and we have three grown up children. We moved to Bar Hill in 1986 and I have worked at Bar Hill school as a Learning Support assistant and teacher assistant since Sept 1998.

	Krysa Parker I enjoy being part of the school community and helping children to succeed. It is particularly rewarding to have worked along side so many children and seen them progress from reception to year 6. My family have lived in Bar Hill for over 16 years and my children have all attended Bar Hill School. I lead a busy life and enjoy any precious time that I get to myself.
