School Council

The school council is a group of children who represent their peers and bring forward their views to improve the school and its grounds. The members of the school council are two pupils from each class from years 2-6 normally one boy and one girl.

The school council has been running since 2001 and our achievements have grown each year. At the meetings, held by Mrs Tabram, we decide what we can do to improve the school. We don’t just decide ourselves what to do, our class mates put their ideas down too. So far we have made a quiet area, bird boxes with paths running to them and improved the rough surface of the all weather.

To decide on the class representative we hold elections and different people receive different votes and they are different people each year. Soon we are going to brighten up the school with some new pretty flowers and bushes because our old ones were dangerous to the school and pupils. We hope to improve the school even more and make it a better and more enjoyable environment.

We have our own blog below, and it can be accessed directly via the School Council link under news to the right.
