School Council

The school council is a group of children who represent their peers and bring forward their views to improve the school and its grounds. The members of the school council are two pupils from each class from years 1-6 normally one boy and one girl.

The school council has been running since 2001 and our achievements have grown each year. At the meetings, held by Mr Mistry, we decide what we can do to improve the school. We don’t just decide ourselves what to do, our class mates put their ideas down too through questionnaires and surveys.

To decide on the class representative we hold elections and different people receive different votes and they are different people each year. We also vote for a chair person, vice-chairperson, secretary and treasurer each year. We hope to improve the school even more and make it a better and more enjoyable environment.

Our big project for this year is working with other schools in our cluster group to create a STARZ web page that pupils from each school can access. We also have cluster school events where we meet school councillors from other schools and talk about projects we could take part in.
