This academic year we welcome Kate Loombe and Kate Davies to the our team. We continue to run four classes in the Infants, two Year 1 and two Year 2. This year Lucy Todman takes over as Area Leader.
Welcome back to school and a special warm welcome for the Year 1s who are new to Key Stage One. The children have settled in very well already and have enjoyed starting our “Explorer” theme off with a bang! The treasure hunt for letters in an “Explorer” anagram got them thinking and they have already produced some lovely work on Peter Pan and their exploration of Neverland.
Our timetables are attached so you can see what we are teaching when and you can check when class PE days are. Please note these will change each half term. The children will be expected to have one PE lesson inside (shorts, Tshirt and bare feet), and one outside (warm tracksuit/sweatshirt for potential damp or cold days). Earings should be removed completely for PE days.
We are looking forward to an excellent new term!

Happy New Year! We are looking forward to another term jam-packed with exciting activities. Our topic is Normans and Castles so we will be exploring life in Norman times and looking at differences in castles. Later on in the term we will be going on a trip to Mountfitchet. (More details to follow!) You may have noticed that a castle has sprung up in the Sky Room! If you have anything related to castles or the Normans that you want to bring in, we would love to see it.
Remember to log onto Starz at http://www.starz.org.uk/starz2 for links to things the children have been working on in class, games and of course our special “Normans and Castles” page.
Welcome to a new school year!
We welcome a new member to our team. Kate Gutteridge has joined us as a NQT and is teaching a Year 1 class.
This is a new section to the website and we hope to use it to keep you updated on news about the infants, display some of our pupils work and share their achievements.
