The following is a list of all frequently asked questions in the Website category that are currently in our database.

These sections are only available to administrators and editors.
If you would like anything added please contact the webmaster or the school office.

How can I add an entry to the calendar?

If you are a site administrator or editor, you can log in to the site and add an event by writing a new ‘post’ and entering the date & time details under the ‘Event Editor’ section.

How do I know when new messages have been posted?

This site is RSS enabled (really simple syndication). You can subscribe to the Bar Hill School feed by clicking the RSS link which is visable top right of each page, or directly at the following address: http://www.barhillschool.co.uk/feed.

How do I register on the site?

Self registration is disabled. Please contact the webmaster if you think you should have access.

I am having difficulty viewing some documents.

Some documents along with material for download are published in pdf format and require Adobe Acrobat Reader. This is available free of charge here.

Some of the menus and other content do not appear correctly.

This site is optimised for IE8 or higher, and needs java scripting to be enabled. WordPress the CMS software running this site requires php session cookies. Please check your Internet settings. The site should also work with Firefox, Chrome and Safari web browsers.

This is to allow authorised users to log in to update and maintain the site.

Why is STARZ restricted access?

STARZ is a local authority resource offering a safe and secure virtual learning environment for our staff and pupils. Your son/daughter will have been provided with log in details by his/her teacher.
