Dear Parents/Carers

Bar Hill School Parent Information and Support Group
The group meets monthly during term time for coffee and a talk on a variety of topics lead by a Family Worker.  It is a great opportunity to meet other local parents, share experiences, concerns and ideas.  Themes will include:  sibling rivalry, how to use reward charts, dealing with challenging behaviour, fussy eaters, internet safety, info on ADHD and ADD, and more!

Introductory Sessions will be at the school in the community lounge on Friday, 15th March from 9.00am to 10.30am.  Sign in at the office.

Home Time
Please can all parents and carers of Year 2, 3 and 4 children wait in the main playground.  Some parents have been waiting on the path by the all-weather court and this has made it difficult for some parents to collect their Year 1 children from the Year 1 area.  This has been brought to my attention by various parents.

The Year 2 children are walked out to the playground by Mr Hawkins and Mrs Russell and the Year 3/4 should walk independently to the playground to meet you.

By keeping this area free it will not be a safety hazard which it is at the moment.  Thank you for your cooperation.

Sainsbury Active Kids Tokens and Nestle Cereal Box Tops for Education
We collect year round ‘Box Tops for Education’ off Nestle cereal boxes.  From 30th January to the 22nd May we will be collecting Sainsbury ‘Active Kids’ vouchers.  The Nestle tokens buy us books for the school and the Sainsbury tokens buy us PE equipment for the school.

There are boxes for each in the school foyer.  Please get friends, neighbours and relatives to collect for us.  Many thanks.

PE Kits
With spring approaching it is important that your child brings their PE kit to school with them on Monday morning with outdoor clothing (eg zip up top, tracksuit bottoms and outdoor shoes). As well as their regular PE day there will be other times when we might be taking them outdoors and it is helpful if all pupils have their PE kits from the start of the week.

PTA Easter Hampers
The PTA will be putting together some beautiful Easter hampers again this year to raffle. Please could you donate items for the hampers by bringing them to the school office.
