Message From The Director – We will be opening up a new branch of Dramawise in Bar Hill Primary in January. There will be two session. The first will be for those aged 7 to 10 years from 4.45pm to 6.45pm and for 11 to 16 years from 6.00pm to 8.00pm.
These sessions will be based on acting, mime, improvisation, interview techniques, audition techniques and all aspects of theatre production.
There will be a chance for those who wish to enter Festivals of Speech and Drama and to be in musical productions at The Junction and Corn Exchange in Cambridge. There can also be one to one training for those wishing to apply to drama school entrance.

Dear Parents/Carers
Children In Need – Next Friday, 14th November
We will be fundraising for this worthwhile cause next Friday. The theme will be ‘back to front’ clothes and/or ‘spotty’ clothes. The cost to come dressed up is 50p.
Also, we hope you will be able to donate cakes/biscuits, etc which we will sell to the children at breaktime. The cakes will be 10p to 20p.
We will also be filling a big pudsy bear with coppers to try and make him fat!
We hope you will be able to make this day a big success.
Free Netball Coaching
Free netball coaching for children in Years 5 and 6 at Swavesey Village College netball courts starting this Wednesday, 12th November from 4.30pm to 5.30pm. It will meet weekly until up to the Christmas holidays and will be run by Helen Stepney the netball community coach.
Just turn up next Wednesday if you are interested. The netball courts are at the back of Swavesey near the sports centre.
Lost Property
Lost property will no longer be kept in a large box at the end of the hall. It will now be kept for the week and on the Friday it will be displayed just outside the front door of the school office.
Items that are not claimed will be donated to charity.
It is vital that all items that come to school with your child are named. If names are sewed in or marked with permanent marker or biro, we can get those items back to the child’s classroom.
National Anti-Bullying Week 17th – 21st November
During this week we will be exploring many ideas under the theme
“Being Different – Belonging Together”
As part of this week, the school will be selling official Anti-Bullying Week multi-coloured blue silicone bracelets for the cost of £1.00 per bracelet.
We will also be participating in the national ‘Blue Wednesday’ on the 19th November. This is a free non-uniform day when the children are encouraged to wear/be in blue – the wackier the better – to symbolise unity (belonging together).
