Sport in the community

Posted on Tuesday, February 19th, 2008

Dear Parents/Guardians

Please find attached a letter from our school’s sports coordinator, Richard Allen, who is head of the PE Department at Swavesey Village College and actively involved in sport in our primary school.

It is inviting you to an open evening on Tuesday, 8th April from 7.00pm to 8.00pm to find out how you can help and support sport in your community.

Yours sincerely

Lin Whyte
Headteacher

Parent Drop-in to continue

Posted on Thursday, February 14th, 2008

Throughout the last half-term, parents have been stopping by for refreshments and the chance to chat after dropping their children off on a Friday morning.

The drop-ins have provided a chance for parents to talk to each other and also ask me any questions they may have. Parents can also have their say about any parents events that they would like to be run in the future or to discuss any concerns or ideas. If parents want to talk confidentially, this can also be arranged.

Dear Parents/Guardians

Camill’s Sunshine Café
This was a great success and I am very proud of my young citizens who organised this!  Many thanks to all of you who came and supported it.

The next café is on Wednesday, 12th March.  This is also Discovery Detective Day so please drop in for tea, coffee and homemade cake in the studio.

In the meantime if you have any unwanted toys, books or gifts we would be grateful if you could donate them to our citizen café school.

Year 6 Leavers Photo
This will take place on Thursday, 21st February in the morning.  Please can you ensure all children are in school uniform or school colours.  Thank you for your cooperation

Thankyou for supporting Camill’s

Posted on Thursday, February 7th, 2008

Hello, we would like to thank everyone who came to the Camill’s sunshine café. We might be doing another one next half term, so keep watch. Although we still had some toys left, nearly all of cakes went! I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did.

Friendly Fridays

Posted on Wednesday, February 6th, 2008

Hello, as you know we are doing ‘Friendly Fridays’ in Miss Higgins classroom.
We are now thinking about doing Friendly Friday slips where you can fill in details about a friendship problem.
We will keep you informed.

The Camill’s Sunshine Cafe

Posted on Monday, February 4th, 2008

The citizenship group is running a half-termly cafe. The first one is tomorrow, Tuesday, 5th February. We will be selling homemade cakes, muffins, Mr Kipling’s tarts, homemade cookies, tea, coffee, squash and more. We will also be running a second-hand children’s books and toy stall. If you have any donations for this, please bring them to the school office.

All are welcome. It will be this Tuesday, 5th February straight after school in either the studio or library. All profits raised will go back into the community and the school - both young and old will benefit.

Look forward to seeing you there!
