New Appointment
We have appointed a new site manager to the school – Mr Stephen Tabram. Mr Tabram has been working at Swavesey Village College for the past nine years and brings a wealth of experience to the job.
He will be starting at the beginning of July and we look forward to welcoming him into the school.

World Environment Day
We have had a great day today celebrating World Environment Day. It has been a great day of planting. Thank you for the large variety of plants you donated for the grounds and vegetable plot.
Summer Concerts
The dates for the summer concerts are:
- Reception – Thursday, 9th July, 2.00pm in the school hall
- Year 1 & 2 – Monday, 6th July, 6.00pm in the main church
- Year 3 & 4 – Monday, 13th July, 2.00 & 6.00pm in the main church

Sun Hats/Sun Cream
As you are aware we do not have a great deal of shade on the playground and as the warmer weather approaches, I would be grateful if you could ensure your child has a sunhat to wear outside. Also as we are unable to apply sun cream to the children, again I would appreciate if this could be done before your child comes to school.
In the summer term, it is also important that all children come to school dressed appropriately. We do have a summer uniform and a dress code which can be accessed on the website – see the school brochure.
Before and After School Reminders
Just a quick reminder of the following health and safety matters: Please could you ask your children not to:
- Climb on the play equipment before or after school
- Ride bikes or scooters within the school boundaries
- Not to kick balls on the playground
This is for everyone’s safety. Thank you for your cooperation
The Eco Team have been developing the wooded area outside the middles’ classrooms. It is a wonderful quiet space for small groups with a couple of adults, but really is not appropriate for children to be playing in. The ground is uneven and there are lots of stinging nettles. For the safety of your children, this area is out of bounds unless accompanied by a member of staff.
Indulgence Evening
Do you fancy a bit of fun, shopping and pure pampering? Then come along to our Indulgence Evening here at the school on Friday, 19th June from 7.00pm to 10.00pm.
The cost is £7.00 and includes a glass of wine on arrival (or soft drink) and one treatment . Tickets available from the school office or a member of the PTA.
Best wishes
Lin Whyte
