Harvest Festival
All grandparents and senior citizens are warmly invited to attend our Harvest Celebration.
It will be held this Monday, 20th October at 9.30am in the school hall.
We will be collecting food items for the Cambridge Food Bank. They distribute food that has been collected to: elderly people, people with learning difficulties and disabilities, homeless shelters and women and children in refuge centres.
Types of food that can be effectively distributed include tinned and packet foods, sugar, tea, coffee, pasta, rice and cereals. Thank you for your support. Also, any flowers brought will be given as a posy of flowers to any grandparent and senior citizen who come to the assembly.

Would you like to win 4 tickets to watch Cambridge United in November, a £10 voucher to Fish n Chick or a bottle of wine?
The office will be selling raffle tickets until Wednesday, 12th November. Tickets 20p a ticket or £1.00 a strip.

Just a reminder that all photo orders need to be in by Monday lunchtime, the photographers will be collecting orders on Monday afternoon.
Camils’ Café
Our citizenship group will be holding their termly toy and cake stall this Tuesday 21st October after school in either the hall or the studio.
Do come along after school and support them if you can.
Lost Property
Lost property will no longer be kept in a large box at the end of the hall. It will now be kept for the week and on the Friday it will be displayed just outside the front door of the school office.
Items that are not claimed will be donated to charity.
It is vital that all items that come to school with your child are named. If names are sewed in or marked with permanent marker or biro, we can those items back to the child’s classroom.
Thank You
Firstly, I want to thank everyone who supported our 40th birthday celebrations last week. The Friday evening gathering of past staff was wonderful. It was lovely to see many past staff after so many years. I found Saturday to be a joyous celebration about everything that is good about our school and community.
On that note I want to thank all my staff for all their hard work over the past few weeks for making these two events so terrific.
But I must also say a big thank you to our wonderful PTA who work tirelessly for all our children all year long. They did a superb job in organising everything to make the day such a success.
With money raised at this and other PTA events they have donated a tremendous £5,000 worth of computer equipment for the our school and just yesterday paid for the children to see a live theatre performance of ‘Beauty and the Beast’. It was an excellent production and we are grateful for the PTA supporting this event.
Yours sincerely
Lin Whyte
