Leaflets about what to collect and how to do it will come out shortly afterwards.
Start finding those shoeboxes!
Harvest Festival
All grandparents and senior citizens are warmly invited to attend our Harvest Celebration.
It will be held on Monday, 13th October at 9.30am in the school hall.
We will be collecting food items for the Cambridge Food Bank. They distribute food that has been collected to: elderly people, people with learning difficulties and disabilities, homeless shelters and women and children in refuge centres.
Types of food that can be effectively distributed include tinned and packet foods, sugar, tea, coffee, pasta, rice and cereals. Thank you for your support. Also, any flowers brought will be given as a posy of flowers to any grandparent and senior citizen who comes to the assembly.
Stop Press
Miss Higgins and Mrs Mayer will be shortly starting their drama club after school which will run until Christmas. After Christmas we are investigating hosting a well known drama company, Dramawise for children and teenager aged 6-18 years. Further information to follow.
Year 3 Football After School
In order for the Year 3 children to play football on the astro turf after school on Tuesdays, we need some parents to volunteer to supervise the children.
Could you help? If so, contact Julie Marin on 781838.
Congratulations
Congratulations to Katie Waldron in Miss Higgins’ class. Having submitted her stamped meal ticket to the national competition for ‘High School Musical 3’ she was the winner of and ipod. Well done Katie!
May you all have an enjoyable weekend.
Regards
Lin Whyte
