Sports Days
The Key Stage 2 sports day went very well last Friday with a little help from the weather.
Unfortunately, the weather is not predicted to be too good for the Key Stage 1 sports day today. I am sure it won’t detract from everyone’s enjoyment!
School Open Evening
The school will hold its annual open evening on Thursday, 10th July from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Parents, grandparents and other siblings are welcome to come and look around their child’s class to celebrate their wonderful achievements. I am sure you will be as proud of your children as I am.
Absences
Please note that when you receive your child’s report there will be a section that tells you the number of absences your child has had for this academic year.
If, for instance, it says your child was absent for 10 sessions this means 5 whole days. One day is divided into a morning session and an afternoon session.
Summer Concerts
- Reception - Monday, 14th July 2.00pm in the School Hall
- Years 1 and 2 - Wednesday, 16th July 6.30pm in the Church Centre
- Years 3 and 4 - Tuesday, 15th July 2.00pm and 6.30pm in the Church Centre
- Years 5 and 6 - Wednesday, 2nd July 2.00pm and 6.30pm in the Church Centre
Change Over Afternoon
This will take place on Monday, 7th July. Your child will have an opportunity to spend the afternoon in their new class for September and get to know their new teacher.
Bar Hill’s Got Talent
Can you sing? Can you dance?
Do you do magic? Are you a comedian?
There are lots of ways that you can show us that you have got talent and our panel of judges featuring Anya Sparks of Britain’s Got Talent fame can’t wait to see them at this years Fun Day on Saturday, 12th July between 2.00pm and 6.00pm. We hope to hold the heats between 2.30pm and 4.00pm.
Entry forms can be collected from the school office from today and must be returned to the office no later than Friday, 4th July.
End Of Term Discos
These will be held on the last day of term, Tuesday, 22nd July in the school hall.
- Reception/Year 1/2 Disco - 6.00pm to 7.15pm.
- Years 3, 4, 5 & 6 Disco - 7.30pm to 9.00pm.
- Year 6 Leaver’s Party - Saturday, 19th July
Year 6 Leaver’s Assembly - Tuesday, 22nd July starting at 10.00am in the school hall
Little Acorns Pre-School
The pre-school is looking for a new member of staff to join their dedicated team. They are currently open for 10 sessions per week and due to staff promotion are looking to employ a Deputy Early Years Practitioner (Qualified to Level 3 or above) to work between 10-20 hours per week.
