Dear Parents/Guardians

We are now well into the summer term.  All the children’s assessments have been completed and will be reported to you in the annual report.  This will be coming out in July.

Thank you for your continuing support for our school.

Years 5 and 6  -  Wednesday, 2nd July, 2.00pm and 6.30pm in the Church Centre

Change Over Afternoon
This will take place on Monday, 7th July. Your child will have an opportunity to spend the afternoon in their new class for September.

School Open Evening
On Thursday evening, 10th July, from 6.00pm to 7.30pm the school will be open for you to visit.  You will also have the opportunity to meet your child’s new teacher.

Absences
Please note that when you receive your child’s report there will be a section that tells you the number of absences your child has had for this academic year.

If, for instance, it says your child was absent for 10 sessions this means 5 whole days.  One day is divided into a morning session and an afternoon session.

Class Photos
If you would like to purchase your child’s class photo, we must have the orders back by Monday as they will be collected by Tempest on Tuesday.

Bar Hill’s Got Talent
At the School Fun Day on Saturday, 12th July we will be holding a ‘Bar Hill’s Got Talent’ competition.

Entry forms can be collected from the school office from today but must be returned to the office no later than Friday, 27th June.

Free School Lunches
If you receive any of the following benefits, you can apply for free school lunches for your child:

  • Income Support
  • Income Based Job Seekers Allowance
  • Child Tax Credit, - so long as you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and your annual income (as assessed by HM Revenue & Customs) does not exceed £15,575
  • Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
  • Support under part VI of the Immigration & Asylum Act 1999

Educational Visits
On the days when your child is on a school trip can we ask parents not to park in the hammerhead as it makes it very difficult for the coaches to manoeuvre.  Please park in the Tesco Car Park.  Thank you

Tesco Vouchers
This is a last call for any Tesco vouchers.  Thank you so much for all the vouchers we have received so far.  Please could any remaining vouchers be handed in by Friday, 20th June.

If you find any more vouchers after this day, we can still collect them and bank them ready for next year’s collection.

Lost Walkie Talkie
A walkie talkie was found outside the school gate before half-term.  Please come to the school office to claim it.

Many thanks

Lin Whyte
Headteacher
