Dear Parents/Guardians

Tesco Computer Vouchers
Do you have any vouchers still around the house?  Please can you send them in the first week of June when the children come back from their half-term holiday.  Many thanks.

Summer Bedding Plants
If you have ordered any summer bedding plants or basked from the PTA, they can be collected from the staff car park on Tuesday, 3rd June from 3.15pm to 4.15pm.

Sun hats/Sun Cream
As you are aware we do not have a great deal of shade on the playground and as the warmer weather approaches, I would be grateful if you could ensure your child has a sunhat to wear outside. Also as we are unable to apply sun cream to the children, again I would appreciate if this could be done before your child comes to school.

In the summer term, it is also important that all children come to school dressed appropriately. We do have a summer uniform and a dress code which can be accessed on the website. (School brochure) or from the school office. Thank you for your cooperation.

Relief Mid-day Supervisor Vacancies
We are in urgent need of a bank of relief mid-day supervisors who we can call on to cover staff absences and special occasion lunches.

The hours are 12.15pm to 1.15pm and the work involves supervising the children outside during the lunch hour.

If you would like to be included on our list of relief mid-day supervisors, please call in and see either myself or Mr Fleming for more details.

Parent Drop In Sessions – Day And Time Is Changing
The role of our parent support adviser is to support you as parents and your child by providing support, advice and information.  She is able to help you with any worries you may have in relation to your child’s education, behaviour or attendance, and provide support on how best to deal with it.

Our adviser, Rachel Britton, will be holding informal surgeries in the community lounge

These were being held on Friday mornings but this will be changing to Thursday afternoons starting the 5th of June.  Come along from 2.30pm to the end of the school day for light refreshments and a chat.  Younger siblings are also welcome.

Places Still Available For The School Of Performing Arts Musical Theatre
There are still a couple of places left on the above.  It will be held on Wednesdays starting the 11th June from 3.30 – 4.30pm.  If you child is interested in singing, dancing and acting and would like to sign up for the above, come to the school office for a form.

Go Green On World Environment Day
On Thursday, 5th June we will be taking part in World Environment Day.  Your child will be having a go at science activities in class and it would be great if they would come to school wearing an item of green.

Finally, I hope you all have a lovely half-term break.  We will see the children back at school on Monday, 2nd June.

Yours sincerely

Lin Whyte
Headteacher
