School Garden
Again, many thanks to those who came out and helped make the gardening day so successful. As we have been very fortunate with the weather recently, we are looking for some volunteers to come and water our plants and vegetables! If you are able to spare a few minutes do call into the school office so that we can provide you with a watering can!
Sun Hats/Sun Cream
As you are aware we do not have a great deal of shade on the playground and as the warmer weather approaches, I would be grateful if you could ensure your child has a sunhat to wear outside. Also as we are unable to apply sun cream to the children, again I would appreciate if this could be done before your child comes to school.
In the summer term, it is also important that all children come to school dressed appropriately. We do have a summer uniform and a dress code which can be accessed on the website or from the school office.
Thank you for your cooperation.
SATS
Our children in years 2 and 6 will be doing their end of Key Stage SATs next week. Other classes will also be doing their optional assessments before and immediately after the June half term.
It would be really helpful if you could help ensure your child has a good night’s sleep by encouraging them to have some early nights so they can do their best in their assessments.
Tesco and Sainsbury Vouchers
Many thanks for all the vouchers we have been receiving. There is a running total outside the school office. Please continue to encourage friends and families to collect vouchers for us.
FA Cup Friday!
On Friday 16th May we will be celebrating the FA Cup with a special football themed lunch Lunch. The menu is on the back of this newsletter. Every child who has a school lunch on that day will be entered into a draw to win a football. We have a football to give away for each class.
Yours sincerely
