What would you like your Parent Support Adviser to offer?

Posted on April 16th, 2008 by Rachel Britton

For the last term I have been running parent drop-ins every Friday morning in the community room and these have been an opportunity for parents to come and have a cup of coffee and to meet me and other parents. It has been a chance for people to ask questions if they have them, or simply to talk in a relaxed atmosphere to other parents.

As a result of parents wanting to bring younger children along, I now ensure that I have toys and craft materials for younger children to play with. So feel free to bring any younger children along with you too.

This term, it is also an opportunity for you as parents to say what you would find beneficial in terms of the support that I can offer. Would you like access to resources on parenting? Or information about local activities for children or families? Maybe you are interested in finding out about different parenting programmes which are on offer. Or maybe you’d just like a break for a few minutes after dropping the children off.

Either way, feel free to drop-in or give me a ring on 01223 712800 if you would like more information.

I look forward to seeing you there.

Rachel
