Dear Parents/Guardians

Eco-Schools Award
We are starting work towards gaining the Eco-Schools Award with the support and help of one of our parents, Mrs Lisa Taylor. This will be a very interesting and important project for our children covering all aspects of sustainability e.g. water, waste, energy, litter, transport, healthy eating, wildlife, school grounds and will have a global perspective. Each class will carry out an environmental review and the recommendations will be passed to the Eco Working Party who will produce a plan of action. Watch this space for further news of this exciting project!

Esperanto News
We recently held a 3 day meeting with representatives from our partner schools in Hungary and Germany with a view to gaining funding for future collaboration. We look forward to hearing a positive result in the near future.

Absence Letters
If your child is going to be off school, please remember to phone in and leave a message either on the answer machine or with someone in the office for each day they are off.

Upon their return, please make sure your child has an absence note for the teacher which has the dates of the days they were off.

If you do not send in an absence note to the teacher it goes in as an unauthorised absence.

Collecting Children In The Playground
Could all parents/guardians wait for their children on the infant playground rather than by the all-weather court as this makes as this obstructs the footpath?

Hammerhead Parking
Please could all parents note that the hammerhead outside the school should not be used as a drop off or a pick up point at the beginning and end of the day as it poses serious safety issues for children and families as they enter and leave the school.
