Mission, British Columbia, CanadaHello, I attended Bar Hill, with my brother and two of my sisters between June 1972 and June 1975. I started in Class 2 with Mrs. Franklin, I think it was, and went to Class 5, with Mr. Gilbert. I know it’s been a long time, but are any of the teachers from those years still around? It’s nice to see the old school still looks the same - I have happy memories of
May Days and country dancing and playing on that playground. Is there any way to contact former students? I wouldn’t mind getting in touch with friends from that time.

Really impressed with the way you’ve set out your web site. I’m coming in to work with staff next week and this web site has helped me to get to know a bit about the school beforehand. Thank you!

Hi, was just lookin at school sites, as we at our school are considering setting one up. Have looked at quite a few, and yours, I feel, is the best by far. We are absolute beginners and have no idea how to get started, having seen that the
children from yr 6 have managed it, I’m determined to find out more. Well done to all! I’m off to suss it out, from the beginning, hope I’m able to produce something even half as good as yours!

Just browsed the web-site, because I went to Bar Hill Community Primary School around 15 years ago. It is strange to think that some things never change, and by looking at this web-site, this has all come to light. Change that godforsaken sign! It has been up for at least 10 years, and I feel the village needs a change. Set a competition for the children to design a new sign.

I was a pupil at Bar Hill C. P. School from 1971 to 1975. In those days the Headmaster was Mr. Norton. It’s wonderful to see the old place again. I wonder if there are any other ‘old’ pupils out there.

Your school looks very interesting! I read over your behavioral guidelines and was impressed with your focus on bullying. It is a problem at our K-5 school as well. I teach 4th grade in Pittsfield, MA, USA, at Stearns School. I will be coming to England at the end of March and will be in the Cambridge area on Friday, March 30 and Saturday, April 1. Is there any way that I might visit a classroom of 9 and 10 year olds and discuss with the teacher(s) specifically behavioral management and reading-writing approaches? If you would email me soon, I could elaborate more. Perhaps I might even initiate a connection between my students and students in a class at your school–email pals or pen pals? I could bring pictures of my students and take pictures of your students while I was there? This latter idea is minor compared to the aforementioned ideas. Thank you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon.
